The School of Basic Sciences, Technology, and Engineering, ECBTI and The Virtual Language Institute, INVIL of The National Open and Distance University UNAD,  warmly invite you to an inspiring talk on global continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma, with special contributions from Lusófona University, Portugal.

Ponentes o conferencistas:

• Speaker.  Professor Pedro Alexandre De Albuquerque Marques, an accomplished expert in Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, and industrial engineering. He holds a PhD from NOVA School of Science and Technology and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ), Shingo Model practitioner, and licensed coach. Currently an Assistant Professor at Lusófona University in Portugal, he also lectures at institutions including ISEG Lisbon, Porto Executive Academy, and Católica University.

• Host. Professor Nicolás Sebastian Osorio, Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, with a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR). Professional experience includes work in language academies and five years as an English tutor at Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD). Currently serving as Co-Director of the English A1 course and National Leader of Academic Life and University Life at the Instituto Virtual de Lenguas (INVIL). Background highlights include expertise in language teaching, academic development, and student support, with a consistent focus on promoting learning and institutional growth.
